LEWISVILLE, Texas — Two statewide education programs focused on flexible learning and workforce preparation are now accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year.
Premier High Schools and TexasWorks, both part of the ResponsiveEd network, announced open enrollment for students and adult learners seeking alternative pathways to earn a diploma and gain career training.
Premier High Schools operates 56 campuses across Texas and Arkansas, offering a mastery-based academic model designed for high school students who need flexible scheduling.
The program allows students to recover credits, complete graduation requirements and prepare for postsecondary opportunities, including college, military service or entry into the workforce.
“We are committed to helping students and adult learners achieve their goals,” said Premier High School Superintendent Jason Bernal.
Bernal said the programs are designed to provide accessible pathways for learners at different stages of their academic journeys. “Now is the time to enroll and gain the skills, credentials, and confidence needed to pursue a meaningful career, continue your education, or build a stronger future,” he said.
TexasWorks, which serves adult learners ages 18 to 50, operates 42 campuses and provides a tuition-free program that combines high school diploma completion with career certification. The program is structured to help adults re-enter education while building job-ready skills aligned with current workforce demands.
“At TexasWorks, we’re focused on meeting adult learners where they are and providing a clear path forward,” said TexasWorks Brand Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Camarena.
Camarena said the program emphasizes flexibility and direct workforce alignment. “Through flexible scheduling and career-focused training, our students are able to earn their diploma while building skills that translate directly into today’s workforce,” she said.
Both programs emphasize Career and Technical Education pathways tailored to regional labor needs. Available training areas include healthcare, welding, drone piloting and electrical technology.
Students participate in hands-on instruction, industry partnerships and coursework designed to lead to certifications and, in some cases, college credit.
Enrollment is now open, with prospective students and families encouraged to contact program representatives or visit program websites for additional information about campus locations and application requirements.
