The City of DeSoto has launched a redesigned municipal website aimed at improving accessibility, navigation and access to city services for residents and visitors.
The new website, available at DeSotoTexas.gov, includes updated features intended to create a more user-friendly and inclusive digital experience.
City officials said the platform introduces expanded ADA accessibility tools that allow users to customize elements of the site based on individual accessibility needs.
The redesign comes after months of work by city staff to migrate and update content across multiple departments.
“With a project of this size, there may still be a few items that need adjustment following launch,” said Karen Kirby, the city’s IT director. “We appreciate the community’s patience as we continue refining the site and encourage residents to let us know if they notice anything that appears outdated, out of place or in need of correction.”
Residents are encouraged to submit feedback and report technical issues through the city’s website support email.
The updated site also includes a chatbot feature designed to help users locate city services, information and resources more efficiently.
City officials said information collected through chatbot interactions and public feedback will help staff continue improving the online experience and identify additional community needs.
As part of the rollout, users visiting the website may also be prompted to complete a brief online survey intended to gather feedback about the site’s functionality and ease of use.
According to the city, the survey takes about two minutes to complete.
City officials said the redesign reflects ongoing efforts to modernize communication tools and improve digital access to municipal information and services for the community.
